Lumo — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Lumo ("Lumo", "the app", "we", "us") handles your information. Lumo is a personal finance app developed by Theophorus Samuel. We built Lumo to be privacy-first: your financial data lives on your device and in your own private iCloud account, and the developer never receives it.

The short version

• 📵 We don't run any analytics, advertising, or tracking servers. Lumo has no third-party SDKs that collect your data.
• 📱 Your financial data stays on your device and, if you enable it, syncs only to your own private iCloud account. The developer cannot see it.
• 🧠 AI features run entirely on-device using Apple's on-device models. Your transactions, receipts, and voice are not sent to any external AI service.
• 💳 We never see your payment details. Purchases are handled by Apple.
• 🗑️ You can delete everything at any time from within the app.

Information you provide

Financial data you enter. Income, expenses, loans/EMIs, savings goals, investments, budgets, subscriptions, categories, and tags that you add to the app. This is the core data Lumo exists to manage. It is stored on your device (see How your data is stored below).

Profile details. During setup you may provide a display name, currency, household type, monthly income, city, and salary date. These personalize the app and are stored the same way as your financial data.

Sign in with Apple (optional). If you choose to sign in, Apple provides Lumo with a unique identifier and the name and email you authorize. You may use Apple's Hide My Email relay so your real email is never shared. We use this only to identify your account and enable iCloud features. We do not email you marketing.

Household members (optional). You can add household members (such as family) so that reports can be pre-filled with their email addresses when you choose to share one. This information is stored with your other data on your device and your private iCloud. It is never shared with anyone unless you yourself email a report.
